Project ImPACT (Improving Parents as Communication Teachers) is a 12-session program that will help you and your child (ages 1-4 years) increase social communication, imitation and play skills throughout daily routines and activities.

Highly qualified clinicians will coach you as the expert on your child. Together, you and the clinician will develop priority goals and activities to support your child’s learning throughout the day.

Project ImPACT uses a combination of developmental and applied behaviour analysis (ABA) strategies to increase social communication skills in four main areas: social engagement, language, social imitation and play.

Schedule

The program consists of 12 sessions delivered once per week over 12 weeks (a caregiver workshop and a one-on-one coaching session on alternate weeks).

Please note this Project ImPact will be delivered in Mandarin.

Caregiver Workshops: Sept 24 – Dec 17, 2024| 1 Day (every other Tues) | 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM

Coaching Sessions: Sept24 1 – Dec 17, 2024| 1 Day  | One hour coaching sessions will be

scheduled with families individually.  Coaching sessions will be offered in person or on line.

Individual Booster Sessions: Individual booster sessions will be scheduled with families when the 12 sessions are completed.

Please note that you must have received an invitation letter for Caregiver-Mediated Early Years Services and be registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) to be eligible for this service. Based on OAP guidelines, only one Early Years Caregiver Service is available per 12-month period.

请注意您必须已经注册安大略省自闭症计划（OAP），而且已经收到早期服务中心寄来的看护者介导的邀请函才有资格享受这项服务。根据OAP指南，每12个月只能享受一项安省早期服务的项目。
